Ang asignaturang Filipino ang nagbibigay kaalaman sa mga magaaral ukol sa ating wika at panitikan. Bukod dito, ay nalilinang din sa mga magaaral ang kaisipang makabayan. Kaugnay ng pagaaral ng panitikan, napagaaralan din ng mga magaaral ang kasaysayan ng Pilipinas.
Filipino, a language based on Tagalog, is the official language of the Philippines. Yes, Filipinos speak in various languages and dialects. Since many Filipinos are of mixed ancestry, they can switch from one language to another. Many Filipinos are multilingual. English is used a lot esp ecially in the city. In the regions, different dialects are spoken.
